The ideal candidate will have expertise in cybersecurity. A SaaS platform that combines deep application visibility (SCA), threat intelligence (TI) and context-aware prioritization (KEV) to mitigate software vulnerabilitiesPatchstack Alliance - our community-driven bug bounty platform for open-source researchersA vulnerability disclosure program for developersThe most comprehensive free website vulnerability databaseThreat intelligence services for major hosting providersProfessional code reviews and plugin security auditsThe OpportunityAs our CMO, you'll lead our global marketing efforts, building and executing on an enterprise-level marketing strategy that includes strategic marketing partnerships, brand positioning, growth strategy, and performance marketing. Patchstack is a Series A startup:

you will help us to expand our current customer base and reach new markets, increasing awareness of our brand and growing our revenue in preparation for Series B funding. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with Product and Sales, you'll shape how the world sees Patchstack and how we scale sustainably. You will:

Define and lead our marketing strategy across all channels and functions (demand gen, content, product marketing, comms, community, and brand)Drive B2B revenue growth through strategic positioning and go-to-market plansRepresent marketing at the executive level and report on progress and insights to the boardBuild and lead a high-performing marketing team, cultivating a culture of experimentation, learning, and accountabilityUse data to measure effectiveness, optimize for results, and inform business decisionsChampion Patchstack's mission in the broader cybersecurity and open-source ecosystemsRequirements10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 in a leadership roleThe ideal candidate will have experience post series-A funding and will have participated in funding roundsDemonstrated success in B2B SaaS marketing, ideally in cybersecurity or technical productsProven ability to create and execute pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategiesStrong understanding of the open source ecosystem; bonus points for experience in open source securityExcellent analytical skills; highly data-driven and outcome-orientedA hands-on leader with experience scaling remote marketing teamsExecutive presence with strong communication and stakeholder management skillsBenefits€120,000 - €160,000 depending on location & experience + stock optionsMeaningful work with real-world impact on open-source securityA globally distributed, remote-first team (no corporate BS)Regular travel for conferences, team meetups and our company retreat.
