Patent Engineer

About the RoleAs a Patent Engineer, you'll use your expertise to protect innovations in one of the leading Asia-Pacific Intellectual Property (IP) firms to help protect breakthrough technologies across Thailand and the wider region. Work alongside seasoned Patent Attorneys on impactful matters spanning electronics, communications, software, and ICT.Duties are as follows:Prepare and file patent applications in Thailand, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with local requirements.Draft clear technical specifications and claims in collaboration with Patent Attorneys.Translate technical and legal documents between English and Thai with high fidelity.Provide key support during the prosecution process.Coordinate prosecution timelines, documentation, and formalities across local and regional filings.Analyze and monitor technology and IP landscapes to inform prosecution strategy.What You BringMinimum Bachelor’s Degree in fields such as Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information and Communications Technology (ICT) .A PHD, Master’s Degree, or an equivalent amount of related engineering experience will be viewed very favorably.Strong English Language communication skills (both written and oral).Keen curiosity and capacity for understanding diverse technologies.About Spruson & FergusonSpruson & Ferguson is one of the leading intellectual property (IP) service firms operating in the Asia-Pacific region.
