Are you a junior electrician with a passion for maritime systems and a desire to grow your skills?Pavimar SA is seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Electrician to support our team in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems on our vessels. In this entry-level to mid-level role, you will work closely with our senior and experienced electrician and superintendents, gaining valuable practical experience and contributing to the optimal performance and safety of our fleet. As an Assistant Electrician, you will:

Assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and automation systems, as well as navigation and bridge electronic equipment on our vessels. Support the implementation of maintenance plans and repair activities for electrical and electronic equipment. Help organize and implement necessary actions for technical matters related to electrical and electronic equipment onboard. Assist in monitoring the condition and operation of electrical and electronic equipment onboard, reporting findings as required. Cooperate with onboard personnel to ensure efficient ship operations related to electrical systems.

Assist in preparing for and attending dry dockings and other repair activities, ensuring adherence to safety and company standards. Help with checking E/R logbooks and maintaining records of outstanding maintenance and repairs related to electrical and electronic equipment. Support the monitoring of spares' consumption for electrical and electronic equipment. Assist in maintaining ship plans, drawings, particulars, and instruction manuals related to electrical and electronic equipment. Participate in the organization of spares requisitions and monitor the supply of necessary parts and stores. Contribute to monitoring the performance of ships' electrical and electronic equipment based on regular reporting.

Assist in reviewing alarm histories to diagnose potential issues and support future overhaul planning. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have: An academic degree or relevant certification from a Technical Institution recognized by the National Authorities. Theoretical and practical experience in electrical maintenance and basic repairs of at least 2 yearsBasic working knowledge of the English language. Adequate PC skills.
