You’ll meet people where they are—whether that’s at home, work, or in a public space—to de-escalate, stabilize, and connect them with services that can prevent hospitalization, arrest, or emergency room visits. This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, resourceful, and passionate about helping others navigate difficult moments with dignity and support.
What You’ll DoProvide immediate, in-person crisis intervention and de-escalation in community settingsConduct triage and coordinate with clinicians, first responders, and community partnersAssist clients in safety planning and connect them to appropriate care and recovery resourcesFollow up with clients to ensure continuity of care and supportDocument services accurately and on time in the electronic health recordTransport clients and travel to service locations using company vehiclesEngage in supervision, training, and collaborative team effortsWhy Work With Us?At Pawnee, we believe our people are our greatest asset.

RequirementsRequired: Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education with one year of experience substituting for one year of education.
Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language. Basic personal computer skills which enable the entry, retrieval and use of electronic data. A valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance maintained in accordance with Pawnee policy and procedure. Preferred Knowledge of the needs and challenges of adults and children who experience Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Severe Emotional Disturbance. Experience with Microsoft Office software. Results of criminal and all other applicable background checks must meet the approval of Pawnee Mental Health Services. Salary Description$25. 96/hour
