We have a game-changing opportunity for a strategic leader to drive the launch of a leading acquiring and payment processing service in Algeria.This is a high-impact, 12-month contract role based in Algiers, designed for a professional who can blend technical implementation with sharp business development to establish a powerful market presence.Your Mission:You will be the driving force behind our market entry into Algeria. Your core objective is to deploy our advanced acquiring technology through strategic local partnerships, managing the entire journey from technical integration to commercial go-to-market.Key Responsibilities:Strategy & Business Development:Develop and execute the market entry strategy for card acquiring services.Identify, evaluate, and negotiate partnerships with local banks, PSPs, and financial switches.Build the commercial go-to-market model, including pricing, merchant segmentation, and revenue projections.Manage critical relationships with regulators, telecoms, and key ecosystem players.Technical Implementation & Project Leadership:Lead the end-to-end integration of acquiring systems with local financial infrastructure (switching, settlement, authorization).Oversee API and platform integrations, including payment gateways, risk management, and fraud tools.Manage merchant onboarding systems, POS/terminal management, and e-commerce enablement.Supervise testing, pilot launches, and the migration of live merchant traffic, ensuring a seamless go-live.The Ideal Candidate Profile:10-15 years of proven experience in card acquiring, payment gateways, and merchant services, ideally within North Africa or similar markets.A strong technical understanding of card payments, switching, and merchant settlement processes.Demonstrable business acumen with a track record of building and negotiating successful partnerships.Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of navigating both business and IT domains.Based in Algeria, with an in-depth understanding of the local financial infrastructure and regulatory environment.Fluent in French and English (Arabic is a strong plus).A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or IT (an MBA is preferred).Ready to Build the Future of Payments in Algeria?If you are a results-driven specialist eager to leave your mark on the Algerian payments ecosystem, we want to hear from you.Apply now to be considered for this pivotal role.Please note: This is a contract position for 12 months, based in Algiers.
