HI Partners is hiring a dynamic and experienced Payroll Manager for a respected international firm based in Luxembourg.If you're passionate about delivering high-quality payroll services and leading a motivated team, this opportunity is made for you.As a Payroll Manager, you'll oversee the payroll process for a varied client portfolio while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and client satisfaction. This role also offers the chance to manage and grow a dedicated team of payroll professionals, with the support of a Senior Manager.We’re looking for someone with deep knowledge of Luxembourg payroll, social security, and labour law—who’s not just technically strong, but also thrives in a client-facing, people-centric environment.ResponsibilitiesTaking the lead on end-to-end payroll operations for your portfolio of clients, ensuring everything runs smoothly, on time, and in line with local legislationEnsuring the highest level of accuracy and compliance in all payroll outputs, reviewing your team’s work and upholding the firm’s quality standardsManaging administrative processes related to employment contracts, employee declarations, and interactions with Luxembourg’s official bodiesGuiding and developing a teamWorking hand-in-hand with fellow managers to strengthen team collaboration and drive the continued growth of the payroll divisionActing as a key contact for your clients—building long-term trust and providing support on all payroll and HR mattersEncouraging a mindset of continuous improvement by optimizing processes and delivering an excellent service experienceRequirementsProven expertise in managing payroll operations within the Luxembourg market, with a deep understanding of local compliance requirements and industry standardsConfidence in handling technical payroll topics—from salary calculations to the intricacies of labour law, social security, and tax complianceA natural eye for detail and a love for precision—you’re someone who double-checks the numbers and takes pride in getting things rightA people-first mindset—you know how to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues, and you’re comfortable being the go-to expertStrong organizational skills and a cool head under pressure—you’re used to juggling deadlines without compromising on qualityFluency in Excel and digital tools, with a knack for finding smarter, faster ways of workingA high level of integrity—you understand the sensitivity of payroll and handle confidential matters with care and professionalismLeadership that inspires—you’ve successfully managed and developed a team and genuinely enjoy helping others growFluency in French and English is a must; bonus points if you speak German or LuxembourgishImportant Note:Candidates must have a valid EU passport or a work permit for Luxembourg.Candidates outside the EU will not be considered.
