Mt Albert, Auckland | Full-time | Permanent PositionAbout The RoleA well-established and reputable business is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with New Zealand employment and tax regulations, and supporting internal teams with payroll-related reporting and queries.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payroll accurately and on timeEnsure compliance with PAYE, KiwiSaver, ACC, and other statutory deductionsMaintain payroll records, leave balances, and resolve employee payroll queriesLiaise with external agencies including IRD, ACC, and the Ministry of JusticeMonitor employee absences and ensure alignment with company policiesInterpret and apply employment legislation (e.g. Holidays Act, Employment Relations Act)Support employment agreement management and ensure complianceOversee attendance tracking systems and extract relevant dataCollaborate with internal teams to provide payroll-related insights and reportingAssist with office resource management and company functions as neededWhat We’re Looking ForDiploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business AdministrationMinimum 4 years’ experience in a payroll-focused roleStrong understanding of NZ payroll legislation and complianceProficiency in Xero or similar payroll/accounting softwareExcellent attention to detail and time managementStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationA proactive, professional, and positive approach to changeWhy Apply?This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal role within a supportive and professional environment.
