Payroll Specialist | Embla MedicalEmbla Medical (Össur) is seeking an experienced individual with strong communication skills for the position of Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist is part of the People Iceland team. The candidate should be passionate about payroll matters, process improvements, and possess strong analytical skills. The role involves general payroll processing as well as a variety of tasks in consulting, analysis, and process improvements that support strategic planning and decision-making within the company.The work involves the H3 payroll system, the Workday HR system, and the Tímon time tracking system.Qualifications5+ years of experience in payroll processingExperience with the H3 payroll system (or similar)A university degree is an advantageStrong knowledge and skills in ExcelKnowledge of the Tímon time tracking system is an advantageKnowledge and experience with labor relations, e.g. sick leave and vacation mattersInitiative, accuracy, active improvement mindset, and independence in work methodsEnglish and Icelandic proficiency requiredKey ResponsibilitiesGeneral payroll processing and reconciliationsPreparing data for payroll bookingSubmission of various reportsProcessing data for auditsDevelopment and improvement of payroll-related processes and alignment of work practicesPreparation and participation in projects related to equal pay systems and wage surveysAnalysis and presentation of payroll-related dataWe encourage people to apply for the position regardless of gender or origin.The position is located onsite in our headquarters in Reykjavík, Iceland.The application period ends on November 20th, 2025.
