12 Month fixed-term role covering parental leaveJoin a supportive, positive, and friendly team of 10Free on-site parking | Monthly social events | Furry Friend Fridays!About the role: As our Payroll Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time. You’ll manage end-to-end payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles, supporting a smooth and reliable payroll operation. This is a processing role, focused on delivering accurate and timely payroll across the cooperative.Key responsibilities include:Maintain employee records with accuracy and confidentiality – including onboarding, offboarding and changesRespond to payroll queries with clear, professional communication across phone, email and in personSupport the Payroll Manager with ad hoc tasks, process improvements and project deliveryCollaborate with member stores, Distribution Centres and Head Office to ensure payroll runs smoothlyProvide system support and troubleshooting to help our teams navigate payroll processes confidentlyAbout you: You’ll be a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Officer with experience working for a medium to large organisation within New Zealand. You’ll have a thorough understanding of NZ payroll legislation and compliance requirements. Ideally, you’ll also have:Experience processing payrollsAbility to adapt, prioritise and remain calm under pressure in a busy payroll environmentConfident Excel skills, with the ability to manage spreadsheets and reconcile data – experience with systems such as TimeTarget & SAP SuccessFactors would be a bonusClear and professional communication skills via both written (emails) and verbal (face to face and over the phone)A team-focused attitude, taking enjoyment from supporting others and being part of a collaborative environmentHow to apply:Ready to take on the challenge?
