St. Anne's Family Services is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our Short-term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) program.About Us: St. Anne's Family Services is dedicated to transforming lives and communities. Our work brings about life-changing transformation, and we are seeking Health Specialists to join our Early Childhood Education team and be a vital part of this mission.About The Short-term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP)Our STRTP is a specialized, trauma-informed residential facility that provides intensive care and therapeutic services to girls. The program focuses on addressing the emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs of clients who have experienced complex trauma. We serve girls ages 13 to 18, referred from foster care, DCFS, juvenile justice systems, or other facilities. Many of our clients are either pregnant or parenting, and we offer targeted support to help them navigate these challenges.What You Will DoThe Peer Support Specialist provides advocacy services to all program participants by maintaining a healthy, therapeutic, and safe environment. It is important to ensure the environment addresses the spiritual, physical, emotional, and developmental needs of all participants and their children.Provide advocacy services by obtaining information, identifying needs and barriers, engaging in problem solving, and linkage to appropriate resourcesConsult with the treatment team to address the needs of the participants and families.Provide in-home support servicesIdentify strategies to address treatment needs and barriers that affect treatment progressionLiaison with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Probation Department and other community resourcesResearch community resources and enable participants to utilize the resourcesDocument clients' progress within Department of Mental Health (DMH)QualificationsBachelors degree in arts or Bachelors of Science degree, or at least one year of work experience in a similar fieldRecipients of DMH, DCFS, or probation and/or school-based services, or with live experience requiredPrevious experience working with children and adolescents preferredCovid vaccination and booster requiredValid California Class C Driver's LicenseValid automobile insuranceAdditional job detailsPay Range: $21.35 - $26.95 per hourSchedule: Monday - Thursday 10am-7pm, with a flex Friday 10am-6pmFull-time, with benefitsLocation: 155 N Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026St. Anne's Family Services Offers Comprehensive BenefitsGenerous, Paid-Time Off PolicyMedical, Dental, and Vision InsurancePet InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Disability Insurance403(b) Retirement Plan with company matchFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Life InsuranceAnd more!St. Anne's Family Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
