Job Title: Personal Assistant to the Managing DirectorLocation: DataVita Head Office, International House, HITP, Blantyre G72 0BNReporting to: Managing Director, DataVitaAbout DataVitaDataVita is the premier provider of co-location, cloud and connectivity services in Scotland, operating TierIII certified data-centre facilities and offering high-power, sustainable, ultra-efficient hosting environmentsAs part of HFD Group’s technology arm, DataVita is on a major growth curve. We have recently announced plans to double data-centre capacity to 40 MW and eventually to 500 MW over the next five years.This is a pivotal moment for DataVita’s strategic development, and we need a proactive, high-calibre Strategic PA to work with the Managing Director and support this exciting growth agenda.Role OverviewThe PA will act as a trusted right-hand to the Managing Director, enabling them to lead the business at pace, navigate complexity, and deliver on the growth plan. This is far more than an administrative PA role, it demands strategic thinking, excellent stakeholder management, robust operational discipline and the ability to anticipate needs at a senior executive level.You will work closely with the Managing Director of DataVita and engage regularly with the HFD Group senior leadership team, ensuring alignment and seamless execution of strategic priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the MD’s calendar, appointments and meetings ensuring prioritisation, accuracy, foresight of shifting demands, and save time for high-value activities.Monitor, log and track key actions, decisions and follow-ups arising from MD meetings, ensuring timely closure and visibility.Facilitate MD’s email inbox — triaging, delegating, following through and ensuring high-priority items are flagged and acted upon.Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, refine processes and enhance productivity in the MD’s office and associated business operations.Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest levels of discretion and professionalism.Provide general executive-level administrative support as required (travel arrangements, event coordination, internal/external stakeholder liaison etc).Required Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant supporting a senior executive — ideally in a growth or transformation-focused environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to draft high-quality business-level reports, presentations and correspondence.Strong organisational and time-management capabilities.Resilient, proactive, self-motivated and able to use initiative — anticipating what’s needed ahead of time and delivering beyond expectation.High level of professionalism, discretion and integrity in handling confidential matters.Comfortable working in fast-moving, strategically oriented business environment and interacting with senior stakeholders (board, investors, partners).What We OfferCompetitive salary33 days’ annual leave (including public holidays)Life Assurance (4 × salary)Group Income Protection (up to 2 years)Cycle to Work and Electric Vehicle schemeHelp@Hands (24/7 access to a GP by phone or video, Mental health support with counselling and therapy sessions, Physiotherapy and health coaching services, Medical second opinions from trusted specialists, Fitness and wellbeing tools)
