Job DetailsDescriptionThe OpportunityReporting directly to the Coordinator/Programmer, Active Living, this casual position is responsible for designing and implementing individualized exercise programs to help clients achieve their health and fitness goals. Personal Trainers work with diverse populations and a range of fitness levels.Prepare and deliver fitness programs following required standardsDevelop exercise programs to meet participants needs and goalsProvide program instruction/leadership at the appropriate skill level of participants. Start and end program on timeBook appointments and follow-up with clientsPerform administrative tasks (i.e., attendance, preparation, injury, and Incident Reports etc.)Attend team meetings and training sessionsEnsure confidentiality of all information pertaining to staff, customers, and facility operationsAssist in providing a clean, healthy, safe environment for the program and ensure equipment is stored as requiredThe Ideal CandidateWe are seeking an active professional with Current Standard First Aid with CPR- C, Certified Personal Trainer (Can Fit Pro or equivalent), or other specialty certification, a demonstrated understanding of different training methods (e.g., strength, cardio, flexibility, and functional training) and experience and knowledge with strength and cardio conditioning equipment. In the process or obtained post-secondary degree/diploma in Kinesiology/Recreation would be an asset.The candidate will have demonstrated excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, organization skills with attention to detail.
