DescriptionThe Business Development division is a central function for the strategic development of the Pfeifer Group. Business Development focusses on future growth, new business opportunities and the development of new markets, partnerships or business models for the distribution of Pfeifer products.

Its mandate is to systematically identify and assess global sales markets and to realize growth potential for the Pfeifer Group – particularly beyond its established core markets. In addition to evaluating market potential, Business Development also consistently assesses Pfeifer’s ability to serve these markets effectively, considering factors such as supply chain capabilities, volumes, regulatory requirements, and more. Your ResponsibilitiesThe future role holder will hold entrepreneurial responsibility for the development, validation, and successful market launch of new business areas for the Pfeifer Group and its corresponding product portfolio.

The objective is to open up new, sustainable revenue streams through strategic market expansion and to play a key role in shaping the company’s growth strategy beyond its traditional home markets. The role holder is responsible for developing sales with new and existing customers in designated markets such as the UK, USA, Australia, and Asia/Japan. This includes the development of new sales segments and channels along with associated services.

They will design and implement overarching concepts for business and sales development in new markets – beginning with brainstorming and market evaluation ending up with operational execution and scalable growth. This also includes the development and implementation of a channel strategy for the product and service offering, as well as the definition of differentiating features and added value compared to competitors. Close collaboration with the Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations departments is essential.

Your Profile8 to 12 years of experience in Business DevelopmentRecent or current industry experience with wood-related products or within the broader wood industrySolid educational background, ideally at an academic level (e. g.

Business Administration and/or Wood Technology or a related field)Proven track record in identifying and scaling markets (not just a pure sales background)Ideally, experience in founding and building up businesses – such as establishing international subsidiariesSenior-level personality with broad strategic expertise and strong business knowledgeBusiness fluent English is a must; ideally, also German at communication levelHighly self-reliant individual who requires little guidance and is able to both think and act independently – someone who can not only develop strategies but also roll up their sleeves and implement themStrong leadership mindset, even if the role initially does not include direct people managementSkilled in analytical, conceptual, and data-driven workComfortable operating in international environments, with strong intercultural competence and a high degree of personal mobility – and the ability to align this with personal and family considerationsHolder of a European nationality and already registered within a European social security systemApplicationIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please send your application documents to the following email address:
