Join us, and discover why we are #1 in California and nine years in a row on the "Best Hospitals" Honor Roll.As Drug Use Policy (DUP) Manager at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will lead a dynamic team in driving evidence-based policies, protocols, and initiatives through collaboration with medical, nursing, pharmacy, and other healthcare team members. The DUP Manager plays a key role in developing strategic initiatives, including evaluating new formulary requests and shaping policies and processes for improving efficiency. The Manager will lead a team of 6 Drug Use Policy Specialists and 3 Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacists. Other responsibilities include developing content for Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee meetings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals on complex therapeutic issues and leading targeted drug programs that optimize medication use, enhance therapeutic outcomes, and reduce unnecessary expenditures.QualificationsEducational Requirements:Pharm.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacyCompletion of PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent practice experience preferredLicense/Certification/Registration Requirements:Current pharmacist licensure in the State of California.Board certification preferredBLS certification upon hireWhat else are we looking for?Prefer a candidate with a background in drug use policy, drug information services, formulary development, or leadership of clinical programsMaintains an excellent clinical database and critical thinking skills, including the ability to provide recommendations on the management of complex patients, utilizing organizational policies and evidence-based medicine.Possesses leadership skills to manage and coach drug use policy staff, including guiding workflow, providing feedback, and reviewing projects for Medical Center approvalExhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare disciplines to define and implement new clinical guidelines, workflow, or programsShows support of medical center initiatives including the pursuit of clinical and operational efficiencyExhibits capability to teach and serve as preceptor for pharmacy students and residents.Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards relative to Health-System Pharmacy.Demonstrates ability to prioritize projects to meet goals.Possesses ability to evaluate implications for the use of automated information systems with the development of clinical initiatives.Promotes a culture of medication safetyReq ID : 9475Working Title : Pharmacy Drug Use Policy ManagerDepartment : Pharmacy TrainingBusiness Entity : Cedars-Sinai Medical CenterJob Category : PharmacyJob Specialty : PharmacyOvertime Status : EXEMPTPrimary Shift : DayShift Duration : 8 hourBase Pay : $72.91 - $131.24
