Whether you have many years of experience or are in the early stages on your career, you can find a rewarding position at Grady!SummaryIn conjunction with The Executive Director or Director for Administrative and Support Services, The Pharmacy Operations Manager has responsibility for the activities and responsibilities of Pharmacists, Technicians and Support Staff (inpatient or outpatient as assigned). The position requires the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals from all clinical disciplines to ensure the safe and effective procurement, storage, preparation and dispensing/distribution of medications. Provides leadership for and evaluates the performance of charge pharmacists, pharmacists, technicians and other support staff and provides ongoing coaching and mentoring. Also responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant state and federal laws and regulations, Joint Commission Standards and Grady Health System policies and procedures. Assists in maintenance of Pharmacy Inventory. Collaborates with direct reports, pharmacy leadership, and organizational leadership to meet patient, departmental, and organizational medication-related needs.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.Completion of a Pharmacy Practice (PGY-1) preferred.Licensed as a registered pharmacist in Georgia (or eligible within 120 days)Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy practice experience in health system pharmacy (ambulatory and/or acute care).Strong leadership ability with superior communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills utilizing various types of media.Demonstrated success in developing and advancing pharmacy practice including project management, performance improvement and planning.
