About Perfecting PedsPerfecting Peds is long-term comprehensive medication management, as an analytically driven and interoperable virtual professional service for health plans' high-risk and high-cost pediatrics.Role SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our remote team. This position combines clinical pharmacy operations with patient outreach responsibilities, making it ideal for a certified pharmacy technician who enjoys both behind-the-scenes precision and meaningful patient interaction.You'll be a vital part of our pediatric care team, helping families access medications, coordinating with healthcare providers, and conducting proactive outreach to schedule telehealth appointments. Your work directly supports children and families navigating complex health needs.Key ResponsibilitiesPharmacy Support & Medication ManagementCoordinate medication orders with partner pharmacies Process prior authorizations and assist families in accessing medications Resolve prescription issues, manage refills and transfers, and support pharmacogenomic testing Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations Effectively communicate and collaborate with healthcare providers, health plans, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered, and compliant care delivery Patient Outreach & EngagementMake outbound calls (cold calling) to families provided by our partner health plans Explain available services and schedule initial telehealth appointments Document all outreach and activities in internal systems Administrative & Technical DutiesUtilize EHR and pharmacy software to update patient records Prepare reports, medication reviews, and referral documentation Collaborate with physicians, insurers, and care managers to ensure continuity of care Other duties as assigned QualificationsA certified Pharmacy Technician with experience in pharmacy operations. Experienced in patient engagement, scheduling, or healthcare coordination. Empathetic and patient-focused, with excellent verbal communication skills. Technically proficient with EHR systems and comfortable in a fast-paced remote setting. Motivated by purpose-driven work and the opportunity to earn commission through impactful outreach. Exceptional time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to varying workloads. Competency in using online collaboration tools and virtual communication platforms for team coordination and patient interaction. Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning in a virtual work environment. Reliable high-speed internet required.This position is open to U.S. citizens who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
