This project aims to advance the optimization of swim training and performance through applied sport science. The successful candidate will work closely with national-level partners and contribute to impactful research in the field.
Requirements– Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Sport Science, Human Kinetics, or a related discipline– Research experience in human performance or physiology– Proficiency in research methods and statistics; experience with R or Python is preferred– Strong communication and teamwork skills– Willingness to travel with national teams as required– Preference will be given to Canadian citizens or permanent residentsThe Position Offers– Annual tax-free funding of CA$40,000, plus tuition, travel, and research expenses– Hands-on research opportunities with elite swimmers at Swimming Canada’s High-Performance Centre in Vancouver– Training towards Sport Scientist Canada’s HPC certification– Involvement with SFU’s Sports Analytics Group– Opportunities for international publication and presentationApplication ProcessInterested candidates should submit a single PDF file containing academic transcripts, CV, and a 1–2 page statement of interest to Dr.
