University: University of OttawaCountry: CanadaDeadline: Ongoing until filledThe Department of Biology at the University of Ottawa, under the supervision of Dr. Nicolas Corradi, is seeking highly motivated candidates for fully funded PhD and postdoctoral positions in the field of fungal comparative (epi)genomics. The successful applicants will join a dynamic and inclusive research group focused on the study of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and their intricate genomic and epigenomic relationships with host plants. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2025, with some flexibility. Available Positions– PhD Position:

Fully funded for four years, with the possibility of extension. – Postdoctoral Fellow: Initially funded for two years, with additional support to apply for external fellowships (e. g. , HFSP, Marie-Curie, NSERC). Research FocusThe selected candidates will investigate the comparative genomics and epigenomics of multinucleate plant symbionts (AMF), contributing to advances in fungal genomics and plant-microbe interactions. Candidate Requirements– Demonstrated enthusiasm for complex genetic systems and symbiosis. – Academic background in one or more of the following areas: transcriptomics, comparative genomics, phylogenomics, or programming for life sciences.
