Physical Design Engineer

A Global semiconductor giant based in Cork are seeking to bolster their team with a talented physical design engineer.Responsibilities:Execute full physical implementation from floorplan to GDS for high-speed, complex designs with aggressive PPA targets.Research and develop innovative methodologies, scripts, and flows to push physical design PPA limits.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design considerations, timing closure, and power optimization.Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure physical design solutions are up-to-date and effective.Perform complex statistical analyses to track benchmarks, identify issues, and recommend improvements.Requirements:Minimum 4 years of experience in physical design engineering.Proficiency in the complete physical design flow from netlist to GDS, including floor planning, power planning, placement, CTS, routing, and optimisation.Experience with physical design tools for advanced technology nodes (10nm and below).Strong understanding of STA, timing closure, congestion, routing, and power impacts.Skilled in power analysis, power integrity, physical verification, DRC closure, and automation with Perl/TCL, along with effective cross-functional communication.If this role is of interest please apply directly on LinkedIn or send a copy of your CV to alex@eu-recruit.com.By applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
