You’re more valuable than ever – And that’s just how we’ll make you feel.Job DescriptionDepartment: Clinical Services: ProviderEntity: Team members affiliated with Joint VenturesJob RelationshipsResponsible to: Medical Director, Associate Medical DirectorAssignments received from: Medical Director, Associate Medical DirectorPositions supervised: NoneJob SummaryPhysicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections and are also responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients.Job RequirementsEducation Graduate of an accredited medical school requiredWork Experience2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience requiredMinimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting requiredAdult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferredRequired Licenses/Certifications Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Active state medical licensureAdditional Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.Additional Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Preferred Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills Strong communication and customer service skillsEssential FunctionsEssential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Following are the essential functions of the job.Job Responsibilities IncludeExamining and treating patientsTaking patients’ medical historiesOrdering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-raysMaking diagnoses and prescribing medicationsTreating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or castingRecording progress notes for follow-up patientsEducating and counseling patientsOrdering and/or carrying out therapy with patientsGiving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional careSupervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervisionAct as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges (DOP)Each provider will work an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shiftAll other duties as assignedNote: this job description is not inclusive of all the duties of the position.
