Job Description
Our Mission:At Sunrise Robotics, we are dedicated to augmenting humanity through intelligent robotics. Our mission is to elevate the world of manufacturing by introducing intelligent, flexible robots that enhance human capabilities and existing machinery, ushering in the next era of production at higher quality, with less waste, and lower cost. Our Vision:We see a future where every element of manufacturing, from design to assembly, is optimised with intelligent automation. Our vision is to integrate flexible robotic solutions, based on generic hardware and advanced software/AI capabilities, into manufacturing, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, to make automation economically viable and accessible, for all sizes of manufacturers. We are not just building robots; we are creating the strategically crucial components for autonomous, intelligent agents of the future. The RoleHelp us assemble robust, interactive simulation scenes in NVIDIA Isaac Sim. You’ll place and configure scene objects, apply rigid bodies/colliders/joints, tune physics/material properties, and set up simple interactions so scenarios run reliably for testing and demos. Programming knowledge is not required (visual scripting is welcome but optional). Core concepts and workflows map cleanly to Isaac Sim’s physics stack (PhysX) and USD-based scene components. What You Will DoBuild and maintain scenes: place assets, assign rigid bodies and colliders, verify contacts/friction behave as intended. Configure constraints/joints and articulations for robots; validate overlaps, mass, damping, restitution, and solver settings. Tune scene using friction, restitution, mass, damping, and solver/CCD options to achieve stable interactions. Debug common physics/collision issues and keep setups performant (sensible collider choices, compound primitives when appropriate). Prepare scenes and assets for cross-team testing; reproduce and fix common collision/physics issues; profile and simplify setups when needed. Collaborate with simulation/robotics/AI teams to ensure scenes cover test cases and are ready for iteration. Who You Are2+ years hands-on with a modern real-time engine (Unity, Unreal, Godot, or Isaac Sim) building playable/testable scenes. Comfortable configuring rigid bodies, colliders, and joints/constraints and knowing when to block/overlap/ignore. Windows or Linux userGit user: comfortable with branching, PRs, and reviewing diffs (our content and scene files live under version control). Detail-oriented, organized, collaborative communicator. A team player who thrives in collaborative, interdisciplinary environments. An effective communicator, able to translate technical details into clear and engaging narratives. Naturally curious, self-motivated, and constantly exploring new tools and approachesNice to HaveVisual scripting/Blueprint-style experience for basic interactions. Familiarity with Isaac Sim/Omniverse (USD schemas for physics, articulations). Comfort with basic 3D math (transforms, vectors) relevant to collision and motion. Why Sunrise Robotics?Play a pivotal role in defining the future of intelligent robotics and manufacturing. Be part of a company that is at the forefront of technological innovation, with a clear mission and vision. Competitive compensation, including equity, and a flexible work environment that values innovation, learning, and excellence.
