Piping Superintendent

Piping Superintendent Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental & Security (HSES) responsibilities.Establish safe working practice on the project in line with relevant legislation, standards, and company/clients requirements. Assist with preparation of task risk assessments and safety walkthrough reports.Ensure that the day-to-day operation of the piping department is in accordance with the LGMS and project priorities.Ensure that all piping construction related activities (fabrication/erection) are safely, effectively carried out in accordance with most efficient techniques available.Supervise and dedicate the necessary piping resources (men and equipment) to ongoing projects.Liaise with all Project / Construction Managers, Planners and Production Engineers, Piping supervision to properly schedule and execute all piping works.Liaising with Clients, Consultants & Vendors for smooth execution of project and resolving problems in site execution.Monitoring Piping Mechanical completion, fulfilling Pre-commissioning requirements for the project.Ensure all piping personnel meet the necessary quality standards and that piping work is carried out using the most efficient techniques available.Ensure the correct productivity levels are maintained on all projects.Ensure the effective and efficient use of consumables.Liaising with engineering team for preparing engineering deliverables like shop/erection drawings, Procedures and other piping related activities.Ensure in conjunction with the Procurement Supply chain team that all pipe materials and valves are procured and delivered in accordance with the project’s contract requirements.Liaise with other trades to ensure project schedule adherence.Ensure Piping Preservation and Flange Management is carried out as per LEL policy and procedures.Prepare, implement and manage any required construction method statements and procedures like procedures for fabrication of piping, installation and testing of piping etc.Alert the project QS and Project manager to commercial matters arising on the project.Assist in the preparation, submission and monitoring of additional work requests and change orders.Assist in the maintenance and audit schedule of the HSES and Quality certification process.Conduct ‘Tool Box Talks’ with Piping personnel as and when required.Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.QualificationOil & Gas Fabrication / Construction methods Rig Piping systems & Piping materials Various types of Valves & other Pipe fittings Piping Isometric, Flow diagrams & Piping support drawings Pressure testing of Piping systems International Standard like ASME, API, AWS etc. NDT Methods Exposed to Quality & Safety management system and process Planning / Scheduling techniques using Primavera Engineering project Management
