Position Overview: Reporting to the Senior Merchandising Manager, the Associate Merchandiser will play a pivotal role in shaping the end-to-end product lifecycle for Stitch Fix Bottoms and RTW collections seasonally.

This highly collaborative and strategic role bridges the gap between creative vision and commercial success—partnering on product strategy from ideation and development through assortment planning, SKU optimization, and final hand-off to the Production team. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments, has a keen eye for fashion and trend forecasting, and excels at cross-functional alignment. Success in this role is defined by the ability to balance creativity with business objectives, deliver consumer-right product assortments, and drive overall brand growth through data-informed decision making and strategic planning. What You’ll Do:

Collaborate on the development of seasonal product assortments for Stitch Fix Bottoms and RTW, ensuring alignment with brand identity, consumer trends, and company-wide financial goalsPartner with other team members to build seasonal line plans and SKU strategies by delivery window, ensuring optimal depth and breadth across styles, categories, and channelsCollaborate closely with key cross-functional teams including Design, Product Development and Tech to ensure seasonal strategies are executed with excellence and in accordance with the product development calendarConduct competitive market and trend analysis, incorporating insights into the product creation process to help inform style, pricing, and SKU mixIn partnership with manager, monitor in-season performance to identify risks, chase opportunities, and make informed recommendations for future line adjustments and strategy shiftsActively identify and define core items, fashion trends, and emerging customer needs to drive product innovation and sustained category growthPartner with department leaders on the go-to-market timeline from a merchandising perspective, ensuring all key milestones are met, including style finalization, merchandising reviews, pricing approvals, and content hand-offBuild and maintain assortment tools, visual line sheets, and sales performance trackers to support cross-functional visibility and strategic decision makingServe as a product expert and brand advocate, effectively presenting seasonal assortments and strategy to both internal stakeholders and external partners (e.

3+ year of direct retail Merchandising experience is requiredProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is requiredHighly strategic and analytical, with a proven ability to turn data and insights into actionable product strategiesStrong financial and business acumen; comfortable weighing in on decisions that balance creative integrity with margin and profitability targetsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to aid in the creation of market assets and communicate with buyers as neededAdept at navigating ambiguity and anticipating roadblocks, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset; comfortability with asking clarifying questions as neededCollaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment, with a natural ability to build trust and foster alignment across departmentsHighly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects and timelines without losing sight of the big picturePassionate about fashion, product, and consumer behavior—with a strong pulse on market trends and competitor dynamics
