At Waagner Biro, we are committed to achieving the extraordinary in every project.🌐 Learn more: www.waagnerbiro-bridgesystems.comJob DescriptionWe are looking for a qualified and experienced Planning Engineer to manage the planning and scheduling activities for a Steel Structure Construction Bridge Project in Abu Dhabi, but he/she will be be working at our head office in Dubai and expected to have one weekly progress meeting which need visit to site in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must be a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience on bridge projects in Abu Dhabi and have a strong working knowledge of Abu Dhabi authorizes procedures and standards. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery in compliance with client and authority requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing, developing and maintaining project schedules using specialized primavera P6 software including KPI, Full Narrative Report, Detailed resource and cost loaded POWs.Preparing Extension of Time in several techniques; Window analysis skills is mandatory skills required. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather and analyze project dataHelp create and update project timelines, Gantt charts, and other planning documentsSupport resource allocation and optimization efforts for ongoing projectsParticipate in progress meetings and contribute to project status reportsAssist in identifying potential scheduling conflicts and proposing solutionsHelp monitor project milestones and deadlines to ensure timely completionContribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes and methodologiesStay updated on local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAEQualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering , or a related field.Minimum 7 years of UAE experience in planning for Steel structure bridge projects. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and infrastructure project workflows.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 ,ETCStrong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPointFamiliarity with construction processes, methodologies, and industry standardsUnderstanding of project scheduling techniques and resource allocation principlesBasic knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAEExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologiesAdditional InformationAdvance level in Primavera skillsWorking time: 8am to 5pm & 6 days per week
