Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Planning Manager / Lead Planner / Senior Planning Engineer to lead the planning function for an EPC STP project With Ashghal in Wakrah, Qatar. The role involves overseeing the project’s planning activities, ensuring timely execution, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving project success. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning team for the EPC STP project and support the Project Director in all internal and external planning functions. Develop and maintain all project programs (baseline, revised, recovery/mitigation, look-ahead, and updated schedules) including narratives, resource histograms, and cash flow forecasts.
Use advanced planning tools such as Primavera P6 (programs), Power BI (presentations), and Candy (mapping). Prepare and coordinate weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards in collaboration with the planning team and other departments. Lead internal and external progress meetings, including presentation preparation and discussions with key stakeholders. Conduct planning-related meetings with subcontractors and suppliers regarding progress, productivity rates, submittals, and deliveries. Review, monitor, and integrate subcontractors’ and suppliers’ programs into the master schedule. Prepare and defend extension of time (EOT) claims with consultants and client representatives.
Track site progress, productivity, engineering submittals, and procurement deliveries; highlight target dates, assess delays, and recommend corrective actions. Identify risk areas, update the risk register, and develop practical mitigation plans. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, internal planning policies, governance standards, and timely reporting obligations. Mandatory RequirementsProven experience in Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects. Minimum 10 years total experience, including at least 3 years in the Gulf region.
