This role is focused on mechanical troubleshooting, equipment optimization, maintenance leadership, and driving operational efficiency in a manufacturing environment.Key Roles / ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day technical support to production and maintenance teams, ensuring reliable operation of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Lead troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of process equipment to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.Oversee the Maintenance Department, supervising the Maintenance Supervisor and ensuring preventive and predictive maintenance programs are executed effectively.Install, commission, and start up new or modified equipment and facilities, ensuring systems meet safety and performance standards.Identify and implement improvements to equipment performance, process safety, and plant efficiency.Manage maintenance and reliability budgets, monitor expenditures, and coordinate vendor and contractor support.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, driving a strong culture of safe work practices.Support upgrades to electrical and control systems to enhance reliability and plant operability.Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation, repair, and troubleshooting.Provide 24/7 technical support for urgent plant issues.Required Education, Experience, And QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (preferred) with 2+ years of hands-on engineering or maintenance experience.Strong knowledge of manufacturing process equipment, with demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems.Field-oriented engineer with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.Experience supervising or supporting maintenance teams.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer-based maintenance systems.Working knowledge of process control systems and equipment reliability practices.Strong communication and leadership skills with potential to grow into operations or supervisory roles.Working ConditionsBending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions. Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
