The Unanderra plant is essentially a materials handling & processing operation and consists of crushers, screens, blenders, mixers, conveyors and packaging equipment. The plant has a mix of old and new technology, requiring scheduled, preventative and breakdown maintenance as well as a continuous focus on a variety of plant improvement & upgrade projects.The RoleWe are seeking a practical, hands-on Plant Supervisor to lead day-shift operations. In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance while fostering a culture of teamwork. Working closely with your team, you’ll combine strong leadership with problem-solving skills to maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards.Plan and manage maintenance activities for all plant and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and timely operations.Provide clear direction, support, and guidance to the maintenance team to build capability and drive high performance.Maintain quality standards and ensure production objectives are achieved in line with company expectations.Coordinate personnel and resources within the maintenance team to meet safety, service, and production targets.Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging compliance with best practices and established procedures.Collaborate closely with management and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and proactive resource planning.YouTrade qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical or electrical)Experienced in maintenance supervision in a relevant industrial environment.Demonstrates strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.High level of people skills with an ability to develop and improve team performance.Strong technical skills and knowledge of a broad range of plant maintenance and equipment upgrades/installations.This role suits an experienced Plant Supervisor looking to join a well-established reputable company and seeking a long-term stable career in the Illawarra Manufacturing Industry.
