Qualifications & Requirements: :
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science / Forestry / Plantation Management, or related fieldAdvanced qualifications in agriculture or estate management are an advantageAt least 10 – 15 years of hands-on experience in managerial role within the oil palm plantation industry or field operational management, or similar roleStrong leadership and team management skills, capable of leading large, diverse workforceExcellent strategic planning and organizational abilities, with experience in budgeting and resource allocationIn-depth knowledge of oil palm agronomy, estate operations, and best agricultural practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to improve estate performanceGood communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, stakeholders, and external partiesStrong oral and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin would be an added advantageAbility to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to the challenges of a remote working environmentWillingness to be stationed in remote locations and adapt to estate lifeJob ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all aspects of daily plantation operations, including land preparation, planting, harvesting, maintenance, transportation, and infrastructure developmentEnsure the implementation of best practices in crop management, pest control, fertilization, and irrigation to optimize yield and maintain the health of the plantationDevelop and implement long-term and short-term strategic plans for the plantation, including productivity targets, cost control, and resource managementEnsure all plantation activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental guidelinesPrepare and submit regular performance reports, including yield, labor management, financials, and other key performance indicators, to the top managementAct as the primary liaison between the plantation and the head office, ensuring effective communication and alignment with corporate objectivesEnsure compliance with sustainability standards, including RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) or other relevant certificationsLead the response to any operational emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to plantation activitiesClick here to download and print Job Application Form
