Platform and Automation Engineer

We’re looking for a Platform and Automation Engineer to join our ever evolving NAP team and help us unleash the potential of every business.What you’ll own as the Platform and Automation EngineerApplication teams will supply requirements and artefacts. You'll help the solution move through various environments by troubleshooting and fixing issues, creating and deploying engineering artefacts using Ansible, Terraform and Helm as appropriate to ensure consistency of delivery.You'll need to meet with application teams to accurately determine their requirements and meet those using the range of technologies within the platform; while ensuring that we meet standards on operational items like HA & DR, monitoring; and that security aspects are all considered to ensure compliance with regulations.You'll attend agile team planning sessions and provide input on implementation and design aspects.What You'll BringWe cover a wide range of technologies, and know that no one is expert across them all, but a good mix of the following experience will make a strong player in our team:Automation frameworks and configuration management - Ansible first, but Terraform and Helm are useful; Bash scripting,Python and PowerShell are a bonus.Linux administration, and to a lesser extent Windows ServerGit commands, Jenkins and associated release management toolingGood knowledge of web protocols and troubleshooting HTTP and TLS, certificates and authentication.Knowledge of networking: Load balancing, VLANs, firewallsIdentity and access management servicesOn-premise Middleware and application servers: Apache Tomcat, Springboot, WeblogicOracle Fusion MiddlewareKubernetes, Docker and Openshift, container registries and SDN.AWS infrastructure services around VPC management, ELB, TGW & Direct Connect; but also knowledge around other AWSservices such as EC2, EKS, S3About The TeamTo learn more about our winning teams, check out our world-class teams that own it every day.What Makes a WorldpayerWhat makes a Worldpayer?
