Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our growing Platform Engineering team. This role is essential in building scalable, secure, and cloud-native infrastructure solutions while enabling and empowering product teams to adopt DevSecOps and FinOps best practices.The ideal candidate is not only technically skilled but also passionate about guiding and supporting other teams in their cloud journey and maximizing the value from the cloud and the platform.Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Engineering & Automation:Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like TerraformDefine and implement DevSecOps practices across the platform (e.g., security scanning, policy enforcement, shift-left security)Establish and evolve CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows for platform and product teamsImplement and advocate for FinOps practices such as tagging strategies, cost monitoring, showback, and optimizationDefine and document platform engineering standards, processes, and architectural patternsCollaborate with various stakeholders to align on governance, standards, and compliancesEnablement & SupportAct as a technical advisor and coach to product teams to help them adopt organization's processes, platform tools, cloud services, and IaC modulesOrganize and deliver enablement sessions, onboarding workshops, and technical documentationPartner with product teams to understand their needs, gather feedback, and translate requirements into platform capabilitiesSupport product teams during the cloud adoption journey, from PoC to production, ensuring best practices are followedJob Requirements5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOpsProven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and architectureDeep knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principlesStrong experience in CI/CD tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Flux CD)Practical understanding of DevSecOps, including security automation and complianceWorking knowledge of FinOps, cloud cost management, tagging policies, and showback/chargeback conceptsExperience with monitoring, observability, and incident management toolingExcellent communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and enabling other teamsComfortable working in cross-functional, agile environmentsFluent in English ; another national language is an assetNice To HaveCertification(s): Azure Solutions ArchitectExperience with platform-as-product mindset and internal developer platforms (IDPs)Experience with Kubernetes, and container orchestration platformsFamiliarity with policy-as-code, security scanning toolsOur offerBenefitsWithin our open corporate culture, you contribute to the digital transformation of SNCB.
