The team partners across OIT to design, implement, and optimize leading-edge technologies—including cloud, network, Zero Trust architecture, automation, and AI/ML—using agile and DevOps practices. The work enables USCIS to modernize IT systems, enhance mission delivery, and support major enterprise initiatives such as digitization, cloud migration, and software-defined networking.
The Platform Security Analyst will be responsible for managing and designing platform security solutions across multi-cloud environments. This role requires expertise in platform security, security analysis, and risk management, with the ability to implement security controls that protect critical enterprise platforms while maintaining operational efficiency. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage platform security solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Conduct security analysis, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments for enterprise platforms. Develop and enforce platform security policies, standards, and best practices. Monitor platform environments for security events, threats, and compliance violations.
Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and cloud teams to integrate security into platform architecture and operations. Implement security measures for serverless computing and cloud-native platform environments. Document platform security configurations, procedures, and mitigation strategies. Stay current on emerging platform security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques. Qualifications REQUIRED: 5+ years of experience in platform security, cloud security, or related IT security roles. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field strongly preferred; Advanced degree preferred. Proven expertise in: Platform security management and implementation Security analysis, risk assessment, and vulnerability management Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to design and implement security solutions that balance protection, performance, and operational scalability. Must be eligible to obtain DHS Suitability clearance. Desired Experience with cloud platform management and multi-cloud environments Familiarity with serverless computing security and DevOps tool integration Experience with Multi-cloud security frameworks and controls WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position is fully remote. Candidates must have a dedicated workspace, reliable internet connectivity, and the ability to participate in virtual meetings and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
