PLC Project Engineer – Netherlands (EU Citizens Only | Must Write PLC Code)🚨 Read before applying:This role is only open to EU citizens with the legal right to work and travel freely across Europe.You must have proven experience designing, coding, and commissioning PLC-based automation systems — not just maintaining or troubleshooting existing ones.About the RoleWe’re working with a fast-growing independent system integrator delivering large-scale automation projects across Europe.They’re seeking a PLC Project Engineer who combines deep programming expertise with project delivery capability — someone who can build control systems from the ground up and lead small technical teams on-site.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, code, and commission PLC-based control systems (Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider).Lead the technical delivery of automation projects (teams of 4–10 engineers).Act as the primary technical contact for clients and project managers.Design control system architectures and manage testing and documentation.Travel across Europe (~50% annually, e.g., 4 weeks onsite / 1 week home).What You’ll NeedEU citizenship (mandatory) – no sponsorship or visa options.Hands-on PLC programming from scratch (not just maintenance).5+ years of automation engineering experience.Experience translating functional requirements into code and commissioning systems.Degree in Electrical, Automation, or related field.Fluent English (Dutch a plus).Compensation & Benefits€60,000 – €85,000 base salary (up to €95,000 for exceptional experience).Per diem: €70–€110/day (non-taxable).Extended on-site bonus: €50/day after 10+ consecutive days onsite.Full travel reimbursement.Clear growth path into Project Management while staying close to engineering.Projects in data centers, pharma, and high-tech industries across Europe.Apply NowIf you’re an EU-based PLC engineer who can build automation systems from a blank page, this is your next step.
