We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.The RoleA rewarding opportunity has presented itself for a dedicated and driven individual to join our Buildings unit as a Plumber.In this role you will work as part of a team that ensures Council's plumbing assets and infrastructure are maintained in a timely mannerThis opportunity will be offered on a permanent full-time basis.Duties Will Include But Not Be Limited ToProvide programmed and reactive maintenance service for Council's built assets including Water Services, Solar hot water, Water reticulation, Sewer works, drainage and sewer pumpsMaintenance and implementation of Natural gas and LPG gas servicesMaintenance and inspection of Roof works and downpipesMaintenance of pool boilers and plantLooking after compliance issues with Sydney WaterLooking after compliance issues with NSW health ie backflow devices and thermostatic mixing valves and submission of necessary paperworkIrrigation worksProvide technical and practical input into tender preparations as requiredFor a full list of duties, click here to review the position description.You Will HaveRelevant Trade qualificationsCurrent Class C Drivers Licence.White Card (General Construction Induction Card)Relevant licence – (Qualified Supervisor Certificate)Experience in plumbing asset & infrastructure maintenance and construction or a similar fieldThe salary range for this opportunity starts at $71,820 (Grade D, Step 1) + Take Home Vehicle + AWACA + 12 % super + hand tool allowance. From time to time there may be overtime and callout opportunities. (Note all power/battery tools are supplied by council).
