We’re looking for an enthusiastic and solutions-focused IT Technician to join our dynamic IT team at Plumpton College. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in providing high-quality IT support across our vibrant, forward-thinking land and environmental college. The RoleAs an IT Technician, you will be responsible for delivering 1st line support across hardware, software, and network systems to ensure a smooth, responsive IT experience for students, staff, and stakeholders. Working closely with the IT Manager and wider team, you'll ensure IT operations run efficiently across all our campuses.
Key ResponsibilitiesBe the friendly face of IT support—resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff and students. Responding to technical queries via phone, face-to-face, and the HALO helpdesk systemKeep our classrooms and AV setups running smoothly. Support device rollouts, upgrades, and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with senior staff to implement service improvementsContribute to IT training sessions and suggest improvements to our helpdesk workflows. Grow your skills with opportunities to progress into 2nd line or specialist roles. Qualifications 1+ years’ experience in IT support or a relevant qualification. Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
A basic understanding of networking and device imaging. Great communication skills and a customer-first mindset. A full UK driving licence.
