This role is pivotal in enhancing excellence across regional and global service projects by improving governance, portfolio management, and operational efficiency.As part of the Project Management Office (PMO), the PMO Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of project standards, tools, and reporting frameworks, while partnering with sub-regional teams to ensure alignment with strategic priorities. The role demands an initiative-driven outlook, proficient analytical capabilities, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.Service APAC > Business Improvement APAC > Project Management Office APACResponsibilitiesOversee governance and portfolio management processes for strategic APAC service projectsDevelop and maintain standardized project management methodologies, tools, and templatesProvide expert guidance and support to project managers across sub-regionsOversee cost-out initiatives, risk management, and change control processesContinuous improvement through performance analysis and stakeholder feedbackFacilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure transparency in project reportingConduct training and capability-building sessions for project teamsQualificationsBachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or related field7+ years of experience in project management, PMO, or strategic operations in energy, infrastructure, or industrial servicesAdvanced proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, Jira, Power BI)Comprehensive understanding of portfolio governance, cost tracking, risk management, and change managementCertification in PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent is highly desirableCompetenciesStrategic Project Leadership: Ability to manage complex portfolios and align projects with business goalsGovernance & Compliance: Ensures adherence to corporate standards and regulatory requirementsMethodological Approach: Uses data-driven insights to guide decision-making and performance improvementStakeholder Engagement: Builds effective relationships across regions and functionsProcess Optimization: Identifies and implements improvements to enhance project delivery and service qualityTraining & Mentorship: Supports capability development within the PMO and broader project teamsWhat We OfferAt Vestas, we believe in empowering our people to shape a sustainable future through innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth.
