Position : Policy Analyst / Operations Specialist  Work Hours (Client) : 8AM - 5PM EST   Pay Range : $2000 - $3000 USD/month (varies based on skill set and experience level) Location of Search : South Africa, Philippines, Latin America, or Any Region Work Location : REMOTE Type of Contract : Independent Contractor     Company/Client Overview:   A platform that takes the power of AI and puts it into educators’ and students’ hands to help them use it productively and responsibly in their respective work. With over 6 million users, the company is the most used and loved AI platform built for education in the world.   Duties and Responsibilities:   We are looking for a versatile Policy Analyst / Operations Specialist who can seamlessly blend analytical thinking with strong operational execution. This role supports leadership across policy research, operational coordination, project management, and executive support.   The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys switching between deep-dive policy work and hands-on operational tasks—someone who brings structure, clarity, and follow-through to a fast-moving team while also supporting the organization’s understanding of key U.S. education policy developments. Key Responsibilities Policy Research & Analysis Conduct first-pass reviews of legislation, policy documents, and regulatory updates related to the U.S. education landscape.Summarize key insights, implications, and recommended actions.Track relevant policy changes and help leadership stay informed.Prepare briefs and policy summaries as needed.  Operations & Project Management Maintain and organize operational workflows, documentation, and processes—primarily using Notion as the team's central hub.Track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across teams.Support cross-functional initiatives and ensure follow-through on action items.Assist with preparing internal reports, dashboards, and updates for leadership.  Executive & Administrative Support Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate across multiple time zones.Draft and manage email communications and follow-ups.Provide organizational support for day-to-day administrative needs.Join meetings as needed to represent leadership, capture notes, and drive next steps.  External & Internal Communication Support communication with external partners and stakeholders (mostly async; occasional calls as needed).Prepare summaries, agendas, and documentation to support efficient collaboration. Minimum Requirements:   Language requirement: Excellent English Communication Skills Education: Bachelor's Degree (required) Experience: 3+ years of related experience  Industry: Education industry ideal Skills & Experience Experience in policy, research, AND operations, project management, or administrative support.Bachelor’s degree required.Policy-related studies (education, public policy, political science, etc.) are a plus but not mandatory.Strong analytical and writing skills; able to turn complex information into clear summaries.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.  Technical Skills Notion (must-have) — experience building or managing structured, organized systems.Google Workspace (G Suite) — Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail.Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus but not required.
