Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced, hands-on leader to join our underground mining team as a Production Foreman. This is a frontline leadership role where you will be actively engaged underground, supervising and driving production crews to safely achieve daily and weekly targets.The right candidate will have a strong operational background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment. If you’ve spent years working underground and know how to get the job done safely and efficiently, we want to hear from you.What We’re Looking For10+ years’ experience in underground mining, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or foreman role (a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or Trade Certificate is an advantage, but not essential)Proven track record in leading crews to achieve production targets safelyStrong knowledge of underground mining methods such as Long Hole Rising, Stoping, and Backfill.Solid communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressure and make sound operational decisions on the spotFamiliarity with mining software (Deswik, Pitram) is an advantage, but the focus is on field-based leadershipUnderstanding of PNG mining regulations and safety standardsValid PNG Driver’s License is desirableKey ResponsibilitiesLead and manage underground crews on shift to achieve production and safety targetsMaintain a strong field presence to support and guide your teamEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policiesConduct workplace inspections, identify hazards, and take corrective actionLiaise with mine planning, geology, and maintenance teams to keep operations running smoothlyMonitor and report production performance and equipment utilizationCoach and mentor crew members to build capability and performanceWhy This Role?This is not an office-based job – it’s a leadership role in the field. We want someone who can work alongside the crew, lead by example, and keep production moving safely and efficiently.Mobilization RequirementsThis position is open to PNG Citizens OnlyFIFO rotation: 21 days on / 14 days offAbility to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screeningMust hold a current Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last 6 months)
