Port Agent

About the Role:We’re seeking an experienced Port Agent to join our dynamic vessel agency operations team in London Gateway. Based in our busy Gateway office, you’ll take the lead in coordinating all requirements for Container, Dry Cargo and Wet Cargo vessel calls in the Thames area, South East and Eastern ports. Key Responsibilities:Coordinate end-to-end vessel operations at each assigned port - arrival, turnaround, and departure.Liaise with port authorities, Border Force, and HMRC to manage immigration, customs, and regulatory formalities.Manage crew changes, shore transport, and logistics.Coordinate storing from technical to provisions, waste removal, bunkering, and technical services. Serve as the central contact between ships, Principal’s, ports, shore services, and service providers.A full job description and key responsibilities are available on request. What We’re Looking For:Experience in port agencyA flexible, can-do mindset that thrives in fast-paced, changing environments.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work independently while being part of a wider operational team.Excellent IT and administrative skillsWillingness to travel between ports A valid UK driver’s licence and the ability to work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.Passion for the maritime industry.Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.
