We are currently looking to recruit a Porter working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days out of 7 based at The Royal Albert Edward Infirmary.The post holder being expected to provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.Based at the above site and providing an efficient day to day Portering service for patients, service users transferring patients and all manner of stock items to and from all departments across the site.Portering Services provides 24 hours, 7 day a week service across all trust sites.The successful candidates will have good numeracy and communication skills, a reliable worker and be flexible in their availability to work all manner of shifts in any 24-hour period.Previous experience of working in a similar environment would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.This role requires the post holder to work in areas that are used for the care of Coronavirus (Covid19) positive patients.Please note that this vacancy may close early if a sufficient number of applications are received.
