Portfolio Delivery Lead - ICT ProgramsLocation: Brisbane | Engagement: Contract | Category: Information Technology - Program & Portfolio DeliveryWe're looking for a dynamic and experienced Portfolio Delivery Lead to oversee the delivery of a major ICT Program of Work within a large, complex enterprise environment. This senior leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of multiple ICT projects under an integrated portfolio, driving digital transformation, operational excellence, and long-term value for the organisation.As the Portfolio Delivery Lead, you will provide strategic leadership, direction, and governance oversight to a diverse team of Project Managers and Coordinators. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects within your assigned portfolio are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in line with endorsed governance and assurance frameworks.Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, promoting a performance-driven and customer-focused culture that aligns with organisational values and leadership principles.Program Governance: Ensure projects adhere to the established delivery frameworks, assurance checkpoints, and governance processes. Drive compliance with PMO standards and maintain high levels of project quality and consistency.Delivery Oversight: Manage the successful delivery of ICT projects across the portfolio, ensuring that solutions meet business requirements, deliver measurable outcomes, and are sustainable in an enterprise environment.Stakeholder Management: Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, business sponsors, ICT architects, and technical teams to ensure strategic alignment and transparent communication across delivery streams.Planning and Prioritisation: Oversee project scheduling, estimation, and resource forecasting. Manage competing priorities and interdependencies across portfolios to ensure efficient delivery sequencing and workload balancing.Financial and Risk Management: Oversee portfolio budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. Identify risks, issues, and opportunities early, implementing effective mitigation and escalation strategies.Vendor and Partner Engagement: Manage Tier 1 vendor relationships and external partners to ensure effective collaboration and delivery against performance standards.Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the senior leadership team within Portfolio Delivery by identifying opportunities to improve delivery velocity, governance maturity, and business value realisation.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring a strong blend of technical understanding, leadership acumen, and business insight, combined with the ability to navigate complex organisational environments.You will have:Extensive experience leading complex ICT programs or portfolios within large enterprise or government settings.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, driving delivery excellence and alignment to strategic goals.Strong background in program or project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMBOK, or Agile certification essential).Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and fostering collaboration across functions and delivery partners.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level.Sound financial, commercial, and risk management capabilities.Demonstrated experience in managing Tier 1 vendors and external ICT delivery partners.Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related discipline (postgraduate qualifications desirable).Why JoinThis is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in shaping and delivering transformative ICT initiatives that support one of Queensland's largest and most complex organisations.
