Make an impact to Shell’s Energy Transition by joining the Low Carbon Solutions Biogas teamThis is an opportunity to be part of Shell Low Carbon Solutions Biogas (formerly Nature Energy) growth journey supporting the decarbonization of multiple sectors.Shell Biogas has a portfolio of 15 biogas production assets in Denmark, Netherlands and France, and an in-house development team focused on the construction of additional facilities and upgrading existing ones. The successful candidate will focus extensively on tracking the portfolio of growth opportunities for Biogas. The role is responsible for portfolio tracking, performance reporting, data analysis, and collaboration with project managers to gain insights into funnel competitiveness and ensuring high quality information is available for sound decision making. This role requires exceptional communication skills to work with a diverse set of stakeholders, whilst also delivering exceptional data analytics performance.By efficiently tracking the portfolio of projects and leveraging detailed performance reporting and data analysis, this position ensures that resources are optimally allocated and projects are delivered on time and within budget. Their collaboration with project managers provides valuable insights that enhance project outcomes, while their clear communication with senior management supports strategic decision-making.What´s The RoleThe Portfolio Management Lead will be part of the Group Business Development team, which is a central team within the BD team of Shell Biogas. This group supports Greenfield development activities through capturing and sharing best practices, ensuring projects comply with Shell ORS and the Biogas development protocols. Key responsibilities will include:Project Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage a potential portfolio of 10+ greenfield projects. Ensuring alignment of projects with organizational goals and strategies. The role will also oversee asset improvements initiatives.Resource Allocation: Efficiently enable the allocation and prioritization of resources across organization to optimize performance and outcomes.Budget Management: Develop and manage budget processes for the Business Development teams.Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain robust performance reporting systems to monitor and report on project progress, decision gates, financials and key metrics.Data Analysis: Develop detailed data analysis using Power BI and Excel to identify trends, measure project performance and make informed decisions to enhance project outcomes.Collaboration with Project Managers: Work closely with project managers to gather insights and ensure accurate and up-to-date information on project status, performance, and financials.Communication with Management: Clearly communicate project status, insights and strategic recommendations to senior management, ensuring they are well-informed for decision-making.What We Need From YouUniversity level qualificationProven experience as a Portfolio Manager with a focus on development projects.Extensive experience in performance reporting and data analysis.Proven project management skills.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial reporting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and convey complex information clearly to senior managementCan-do mentality and comfortable amid ambiguity.Collaborative mindset will be essential as we look to build OneTeam that spans across multiple lines of businessBusiness proficiency in English and DanishThe position is based in the Head office of Shell Biogas in Odense, Denmark and will require occasional travel within Europe.
