(LDV/Car)5 years of civil laboratory experience 2 of which was in a management role. Proficiency in materials testing methods for soil, aggregates and concrete. Able to teach others and maintain quality standards. Competent at computer work such as MS Outlook, Excel (Intermediate level). Comprehensive understanding of specifications like COTO, COLTO, SABS etc.
Ability to manage people and equipment. Willingness to work away from home. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all laboratory activities are conducted safely and with due regard of the environment. Manage the sampling and testing processes to ensure quality outputs. Manage the laboratory environment and testing equipment. (Calibration and checking). Train and deem competent laboratory staff. Manage laboratory staff and ensure discipline. Interact with the client to comply with their requirements. Manage the administrative and record keeping processes. Analyse, interpret testing data. Prepare, approve and submit on time test reports. Provide technical assistance to the client where required.
