Power Generation Expert - Asset Management

Carter Murray is partnering with a leading entity in Saudi Arabia to appoint a Generation Consultant (Asset Management).This is a senior-level strategic role focused on optimizing power generation performance, asset lifecycle management, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on engineering, maintenance, and risk management strategies, while advising on long-term planning, cost optimization, and sustainability initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Planning & DesignLead the development of strategic and tactical solutions for complex power generation challenges.Advise on fuel policy, infrastructure design, and long-term investment planning.Provide expert input on design reviews, start-up testing, inspections, and condition assessments.Develop and revise technical standards, specifications, and operational guidelines.Support the formulation of business strategy and translate it into actionable plans.Apply advanced modeling, forecasting, and risk-based decision-making tools.Operations & MaintenanceConsult on the efficient and reliable operation of generation facilities.Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to improve system resilience.Provide technical guidance across core domains and coordinate with cross-functional teams.Address load demand challenges and support outage planning and recovery strategies.Performance & ExcellenceDrive performance improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with international standards.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to optimize fuel supply and service quality.Promote sustainability by exploring alternative energy sources such as solar and wind.Support corporate social responsibility (CSR) and carbon footprint reduction efforts.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).15+ years of experience in power generation, asset management, and performance optimization.Proven expertise in risk management, maintenance strategy, and lifecycle asset planning.Strong understanding of ISO 55001 (Asset Management) and ISO 31000 (Risk Management).Experience in dynamic modeling, system balancing, and long-term planning.Key Skills & Attributes:Power Generation StrategyAsset Lifecycle & Reliability ManagementRisk-Based Decision MakingCost & Efficiency OptimizationRoot Cause Analysis & Incident ManagementStrong stakeholder engagement and leadership skillsPassion for innovation and sustainability in energy systems
