Find us wherever there's a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made.Our Power & Low Carbon Solutions Team are looking to hire Managers to support the growth of our market and commercial offering in the Nordics, from our hub in Copenhagen.You will be joining our dynamic and growing Power and Low Carbon Solutions practice. We work with a range of clients from across the energy value chain, covering utilities, oil & gas cos, network companies, commodities traders, industrials, and institutional investors; to help them successfully navigate the energy transition. Led by a Senior Management Team respected as Thought Leaders within the industry, we help our clients shape, define, and implement change in energy markets.You will be working at the forefront of the energy sector alongside market specialists with deep industry knowledge where you will be able to deploy and then broaden your skillset and sector expertise: By way of example, typical projects that you would be working on include:Growing and maintaining market expertise, making an active contribution to Baringa’s house-view on power market outlook and long-term price projectionsDeveloping thought-leadership, providing clients with unparalleled market and commercial insightsDelivering strategic and commercial advice to energy companies, financial institutions, large energy users, and public sector bodiesManaging and delivering qualitative market research, energy market insights and stakeholder management to support market entry strategies and other bespoke strategic advisory engagementsManaging and delivering quantitative analysis on revenue perspectives across the different energy markets for renewable and flexible assets in the context of valuations for mergers, acquisitions and financingLeading buy and sell-side commercial due diligence on large portfolios of assets, energy companies and independent power producers (IPPs), including on first-of-a-kind low-carbon assetsLeading and supporting business development prospects, from building our brand presence and engaging with clients in the Nordics, to identifying and originating consulting opportunities and writing proposalsCoaching and mentoring junior team members, delivering internal training and supporting the dissemination of knowledge and best practices internallyYour Skills And ExperienceWe are looking for exceptional leaders experienced in the Nordic energy markets (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland) to join our industry-leading Power Market Advisory Team. You will be well versed in the economic fundamentals of Nordic wholesale electricity markets.Desire to play a leading role in growing Baringa’s Copenhagen office and managing a growing teamDeep understanding of the Nordic power market, for example in market fundamentals, market design, policy and regulation, or commercial structures. This could include renewables, hydro, bioenergy, flexible assets, electricity networks, district heating networks, or other relevant fieldsAnalytical skills applied to wholesale electricity market fundamentals and market modellingAbility to take ownership and deliver results in client-facing environmentsDemonstrate project management, analytical capabilities, and excellence in people management and career developmentFlexibility and ability to shuffle different priorities within a fast-paced environmentDesire to develop a strong professional network in the region, such as with utilities, developers, financial institutions, network operators, industry associations regulators or policymakersStrong written and verbal communication skillsFluency in English is essential.
