Power TraderOur client is a boutique hedge fund specialising in Power.Power Trader responsibilities;The core responsibility of a Japan Power Trader is to construct trading strategies, take positions and manage exposures from both traded strategies and across the asset portfolio based on analysis of fundamental, weather and technical market conditions across multiple marketsAbility to spot distortions between geographies, tenors, and generation type.Understand and communicate risks being takenTrades Power requirements necessary to meet the demand of the client’s customer basePower Trader experience required;Understanding of Japanese Power market rules and regulations, with a strong understanding of Quantitative AnalyticsTransacts in forward, day-ahead, and real-time markets, interacting with bilateral counterparties and electronic trading platformsProducts transacted include spot, forwards, index, and optionsStrong grasp of market and weather fundamentals, and willingness to work with the fundamental team to drive model development
