The RoleJoining PowerNet as an Improvement Project Manager is your opportunity to work on critical improvement projects which are internal to the business.

Applying best practice project management to your assigned projects and supporting the wider programme of work by coaching less experienced Project Managers as needed, your role enables the successful implementation of meaningful change within PowerNet. Based in our office in Invercargill, we are looking for two experienced Improvement Project Managers to join and grow our Quality & Improvement Team. These roles will create essential capacity and increase PowerNet’s expertise in the skills and professional disciplines of Project Management, making them available to all areas of the business.

SkillsAs an Improvement Project Manager, you will be given the opportunity to develop both your Project Management and Programme Management teamwork skills as you make a valuable contribution in a range of areas including:

Utilising and championing the improvement project frameworkEnsuring the effective delivery of projects from planning through to implementation & closureDriving projects forward to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget and at an appropriate level of qualityProviding regular and accurate monitoring & impact analysis reportingCoaching & mentoring others in the use of the project frameworkExperience/Knowledge/SkillsPMP® and CAPM®, Prince2®, or other relevant tertiary business qualificationsMinimum of 5 years’ experience implementing project management methodologiesA genuine interest in supporting and educating others in the skillset of project managementPositive and pro-active approach toward teamworkClear, concise written and verbal communicationEvidence of delivering multiple IT and/or multi-disciplinary projects an advantageOur CandidatesThe successful candidates will be highly motivated with a pragmatic, flexible and adaptable approach.
