The Daebak Company — Seoul, Korea (On-site)Unpaid Internship | Minimum 3 MonthsWe are looking for someone who can start immediately.About The Daebak CompanyThe Daebak Company is a Seoul-based commerce & marketing startup that connects global fans with the best of Korean culture through subscription boxes, creator collaborations, and data-driven brand consulting.Our Unbox Korea program works with 100–500 global creators per project, generating surveys, reviews, and customer insights that help Korean brands understand overseas markets and expand globally.About the RoleThe PR Intern at Daebak plays a unique, global-facing role that connects brands, governments, media, and communities around the world. This position requires strong communication skills, cultural insight, and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of partners.Key Responsibilities1. Brand Outreach & Partnership DevelopmentResearch and contact Korean brands to introduce the Unbox Korea program.Lead meetings, present project proposals, and coordinate marketing campaigns with brand partners.Customize PR decks/PPTs to match brand needs, project goals, and campaign proposals.2. Collaboration with Korean Local Governments & Public InstitutionsConnect with local municipalities, tourism organizations, and government agencies.Propose partnership ideas for festivals, events, tourism programs, and regional marketing.Prepare project decks and reports tailored to each institution.3. Partnerships with Overseas Governments & Tourism BoardsReach out to international cities, embassies, and tourism boards for cross-country collaboration.Support organizing joint events, cultural exchanges, and global promotional activities.4. Global Retail & Corporate OutreachIntroduce Daebak Box and explore opportunities with international retailers and companies.Support B2B gifting proposals, wholesale discussions, and distribution partnerships.5. Media, Press & Global Hallyu Community EngagementCommunicate with press, journalists, and K-culture communities worldwide.Share Daebak’s story and support global PR exposure.6. Presentation & Proposal Development (PPT)Adapt and redesign project PPTs to perfectly match the needs of each brand, agency, or government partner.Prepare proposal decks, partnership summaries, and campaign results.What We’re Looking ForExcellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English; Korean is a plus.Strong negotiation and sales mindset — comfortable leading conversations and pitching ideas.High level of professionalism when dealing with global partners.Ability to collaborate with various Korean companies, global brands, and influencers.Passion for Korean culture, global marketing, and international business.Organized, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.What You’ll GainHands-on experience in global PR, government partnerships, and international branding.Opportunity to build a worldwide network of brands, government agencies, media, and creators.Real project ownership — your work directly impacts Daebak’s global growth.
