With a multidisciplinary approach and a commitment to personalised treatment, the team provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management supporting patients through every stage of their care journey.As the practice continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced full time Practice Manager to lead this dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations and long-term success of a respected respiratory and sleep medicine group. The successful candidate will oversee practice and administrative functions, support clinical efficiency, foster a positive team culture and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. This position would suit a seasoned Senior Medical Secretary or Practice Manager who has proven skills working within a similar environment.Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):Lead the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient operationsManage and support the reception/administration team, including recruitment, training, rostering, and performanceManage the patient billing for both clinics and procedures (including inpatient billing)Build strong relationships with doctors, nurses, patients, and external partnersStreamline and enhance systems, policies, and procedures to improve service deliveryMonitor budgets, billing, and financial performanceMaintain compliance with healthcare standards and regulationsContribute to strategic planning and growth of the practiceThe ideal candidate will be a confident, organised and people-focused leader with proven experience in healthcare practice management. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and show genuine commitment to supporting both patients and clinical teams.In addition to the key duties and responsibilities, Candidates must be able to demonstrate:Previous experience as a Practice Manager or in a senior administrative role within a specialist private practice, respiratory, sleep medicine, or another private specialist practice settingStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staffExcellent organisational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to prioritise competing demandsSound understanding of medical billing, Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and Private Health Fund processesProven ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and business performance metrics in line with the practice Accountant Strong working knowledge of practice management software (e.g. Genie, Gentu, HealthTrack or similar)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clinicians, patients and external stakeholdersA proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvementExperience implementing and refining systems, policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiencyCommitment to maintaining a professional, patient-centred culture within the practiceThe successful candidate will become a valued member of a truly exceptional group a well-established practice affectionately known as the “A Team.” You will work alongside a dedicated and supportive group of physicians and staff who take pride in delivering outstanding care while fostering a friendly, collaborative and positive work environment.
