Gescan’s departments include Lighting, Data Communications, Lifestyle Automation, Gear & Distribution Equipment, Tools, Industrial & Automation, and Project Management.THE OPPORTUNITYThe President of Gescan will provide visionary leadership to drive growth, operational excellence, and strategic direction for Gescan’s operations. This executive will lead the development and execution of short-and long-term business strategies, ensuring financial and operational goals are met. The President will inspire and engage a high-performance team, foster succession planning, and build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESDevelop and implement collaborative strategies for operational excellence and growth.Oversee financial performance, including sales growth, productivity, pricing, inventory, and cost management.Lead organizational design, recruitment, retention, and talent development.Ensure effective communication of company goals and values at all levels.Identify and capitalize on market trends and growth opportunities.Oversee governance, process improvements, and optimal staffing models.Build and maintain meaningful relationships with key customers and vendors.LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTESStrategic, visionary, and results-orientedInspirational, resilient, and authenticSuperior relationship-building and communication skillsProven ability to coach, develop, and engage teamsStrong business acumen and governance mindset6-12-18 MONTH DELIVERABLESComplete a thorough assessment of business fundamentals and market opportunities.Develop and implement a strategic plan focused on operational synergies, product mix, and customer base.Benchmark and develop the existing team, fostering a high-performance culture.Earn credibility and respect through hands-on, transparent leadership.ROLE REQUIREMENTS15+ years in senior leadership and general management, with P&L responsibility.Extensive experience in electrical/industrial distribution and business growth.Proven track record in sales, marketing, and transformational leadership.Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Experience leading process improvement initiatives in a customer-driven environment.Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Master’s preferred.ADDITIONAL SKILLSSales leadership, people management, communication, operations, vendor strategy, logistics, finance, IT, and project management.
