Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Air Freight Pricing Manager to lead the development and optimization of our global air freight pricing strategy. This role will balance competitiveness, cost efficiency, and profitability by analyzing market dynamics, carrier costs, and customer demand, while collaborating cross-functionally to align pricing with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of air logistics operations and a data-driven mindset to drive pricing excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement global air freight pricing frameworks, including base rates, surcharges (e.g., fuel, security, peak season), and promotional pricing, tailored to different trade lanesand customer segments (e.g., B2B, e-commerce).Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and carrier cost fluctuations (e.g., fuel prices, capacity changes) to adjust pricing dynamically and maintain market competitiveness.Collaborate with carrier management teams to negotiate favorable contract rates, optimize capacity utilization, and ensure pricing alignment with carrier service levels.Analyze pricing performance metrics (e.g., profit margin per shipment, load factor, customer price acceptance rate) to identify optimization opportunities; prepare regular pricing reports for senior management.Partner with sales, operations, and finance teams: align pricing with sales targets, provide pricing guidance to sales teams, and work with finance to validate cost models and ensure pricing profitability.Establish and update pricing policies and approval workflows to standardize pricing operations, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and improve pricing efficiency.Train cross-functional teams on pricing logic, policies, and tools to enhance internal alignment and customer-facing pricing communication.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or above in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.3+ years of experience in air freight pricing, air logistics, or freight forwarding, with a proven track record of developing and executing pricing strategies.Strong data analysis skills: proficiency in using Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions), SQL, or pricing analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) to interpret data and drive pricing decisions.Deep knowledge of air freight operations, including carrier networks, capacity management, trade lane characteristics, and industry cost structures (e.g., fuel surcharges, handling fees).Excellent cross-functional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with carriers, sales teams, and senior management.Ability to work under pressure, adapt to fast-changing market conditions (e.g., peak seasons, capacity shortages), and prioritize tasks to meet business deadlines.Familiarity with international trade regulations (e.g., customs clearance requirements) and industry standards is a plus.What We OfferCompetitive salary package (base salary + performance bonus) with clear incentives tied to pricing profitability and business goals.Comprehensive benefits, including medical insurance, retirement plans, and annual leave.Opportunities to work with global teams and gain insights into international air logistics markets.Professional development support, including industry training and certifications (e.g., CILT, APICS).A collaborative work environment with flat management and clear career growth paths (e.g., Senior Pricing Manager, Global Logistics Strategy Lead).
